Hi! I'm Haley.

I come from a family of pharma agency folks...people of the Account and Art variety. Though I thought my calling after college was journalism, I was convinced by my Account Director relative (classic) to try my hand at pharma copywriting. The rest is history. 

Since then, I have worked across various disease categories (Dermatology, Urology, Neurology, etc.) and nonprofit organizations (raising awareness for teen suicide, finding a cure for AIDS, and bringing an end to skin cancer).

 

Having studied Psychology in college, I tend to have a penchant for all things strategy. I believe that understanding how the target audience thinks, feels, and acts is at the crux of everything we create. But if we can make something beautiful along the way... what more could a copywriter want?

Adobe Creative Jam 1st Prize Winners

  • Created the app “Woke” to mobilize youth leaders working toward equity and won 1st place among 160 professional attendees and 106 creative teams.

Group Copy Supervisor

  • Led the historic launch of Eli Lilly’s Alzheimer’s treatment, Kisunla, managing a large team of full-time and freelance writers and overseeing the flow of HCP projects through what the EVP and President of Neuroscience at Eli Lilly would soon call a “record breaking” launch.

  • Helped exceed client’s launch expectations, with the splash page going live 3 hours after receiving FDA approval and the full website going live by Day 4 of launch.

  • In market research, developed the Global marketing strategic framework upon which the optimal Kisunla story for Neurologists and Primary Care Physicians in the US, Germany, and Japan was built.

  • Ideated and executed the most emotionally impactful booth at the annual American Academy of Neurology (AAN) meeting, transforming the booth into the home of an Alzheimer’s patient, complete with stovetop, TV, and picture frame digital panels.

  • Created the winning campaign concept for Kisunla HCP, to be rolled out in Q4 2024.

  • Supported VP ACD as lead copywriter on Sumitomo’s Overactive Bladder treatment, Gemtesa, managing freelance writers, junior writers, and interns across print and digital tactics for Urologists, Gynecologists, PCPs, and Long-Term Care physicians.

  • Created a show-stopping booth at the annual American Urological Association (AUA) meeting from start to finish, complete with live sand sculpture artist building the GEMTESA campaign with sand throughout the weekend to drive booth attendance.

  • Created the winning concept for the nonprofit Mollie’s Fund in a creative leadership course, with my manifesto for skin cancer awareness being selected as the basis for the campaign execution that the class would execute in the weeks to follow.

August 2020 - May 2021

Senior Copywriter
Havas Health Plus

  • Acted as lead copywriter for the blockbuster Sanofi Genzyme/Regeneron treatment, DUPIXENT, working through additional indication launches and training multiple freelance writers on DUPIXENT messaging and strategy for Dermatologists.

  • Launched first virtual convention booth for DUPIXENT, meeting client expectation of becoming the “new gold-standard of virtual booths” all within a timeline of 42 days.

  • Managed creative responsibilities as the sole copywriter for the nonprofit Research Foundation to Cure AIDS (RFTCA), crafting social media assets, videos, newsletters, event invites, and ultimately creating the ‘FreeFromAIDS’ campaign, which resulted in ~80,000 social media impressions and generated $50,000 in donations.

  • Collaborated with strategic and medical colleagues on imperative workstreams including competitive messaging, interactive visual aid optimizations, and tactical planning for DUPIXENT

  • Regularly interacted with and presented to Sanofi Genzyme/Regeneron
    clients, becoming their second point-person for copy on the brand’s agency
    team

  • Attended convention symposia to gather and consolidate competitive
    information, collaborating with lead strategy colleagues to inform future
    messaging direction

October 2018 - September 2019

Junior Copywriter
Havas Health Plus

  • Created and curated HCP-facing content for DUPIXENT, helping to see a team of only two writers through the major launch of an additional indication

  • Worked closely with art directors on print and digital pieces, ranging from
    visual aids to booth tactics to emails, tackling a wide range of projects all in less than one year

  • Single-handedly re-wrote the DUPIXENT HCP website, frequently examining new data to incorporate into the first manuscript of my pharmaceutical copywriting career
